REGULATION
All laws are subject to be revised and changed by the family council. All laws and principles are expected to be upheld by every Forstander kin and conjugal members of the Great House and its Minor Houses, with the exception of kith. Kith may follow Forstander Law and principles at their discretion.

Section 1: Family Laws & Conduct
1.1 Conduct unbecoming of a Free Woman
Free Women members of the Great House or Minor Houses are expected to conduct themselves with a level of decorum in public, worthy of their position as Free Women. By City Law; Magistrates of your Home Stone have the right to punish you in accordance with the misbehavior observed or reported.
1.1.1 Exceptions
If a member of the Great House or a Minor House is reported to the family to have been found committing an offense that can be corrected without needing to become a judicial matter; the family leaders will deal with the matter. Future offenses will be left to the Court Officials of their Home Stone.
Section 1: Subsection 2: Death & Enslavement, Authority
1.2 Death
Upon the death of a Free Man of the Great House or a Minor House, his assets and estate shall be transferred to his sons. If no such offspring can be found, the estate shall instead be transferred to the nearest living male relative by blood. If no such relative can be found, the assets shall instead be transferred to his companion at the time of death. If no companion exists, then said assets shall instead be transferred to his daughters. Free Women who die shall have their assets transferred to their children, nearest male relative or Companion. If no sons, daughter or other family can be found, the wealth of the individual can be then absorbed equally by their House Patriarch or Matriarch to maintain estates.
1.2.1 Arranging the Distribution of Your Estates Prior to Death
If a Free would like to have his estate divided as he wishes in the likeness of his death, he needs to seek the scribes to make future arrangements.
1.3 Enslavement
Upon the enslavement of a Free Man or a Free Woman of the Great House or a Minor House, the mother or father have the right to publicly disown their son or daughter before witnesses. The Free Man's assets and estate shall be transferred to his sons. If no such offspring can be found, the estate shall instead be transferred to the nearest living male relative by blood. If no such relative can be found, the assets shall instead be transferred to his companion at the time of enslavement. If no companion exists, then said assets shall instead be transferred to his daughters. Free Women who are enslaved shall have their assets transferred to their children, nearest male relative or Companion. If no sons, daughter or other family can be found, the wealth of the individual can be then absorbed equally by the House Patriarch or the Family Council to maintain estates.

1.3.2 Exceptions
Should the enslavement be temporary (in such case as a punishment collar), all property will be held by the closest male or female relative to the Free Man or Free Woman in question and family identity will be retained and restored after the term of the temporary enslavement is fulfilled.
1.4 Parental Authority
Any Free member of the Great House may disown any child by publicly stating before witnesses in their Home Stone. Disowned children remain member of their caste. Disowned children no longer may lay claim upon the estate of the father or mother upon the death or enslavement of the former parent. Disowned daughters become protectorates of the Ubar or Administration of their Home Stone unless a protector of record is registered with the Scribes.
Section 1: Subsection 3: Protection
1.5 Protection of Free Women
All uncompanied Free Women of the Great House and all Minor Houses are protected by the Patriarch, plenipotentiary, legatee and conjugal leaders of the family. If the Free Woman is currently courting a Free Man who is to become a conjugal member as her future Companion; he is then her protector. A Forstander contract of the agreement of courtship/protection must be then registered with a scribe of the Great House. Or the mother or father of the Free Woman in question may arrange this in their own ways, through simply protection papers with scribes of their Home Stone.
Section 1: Subsection 4: Companionship & Conjugal Members
1.6 Contract
The Great House requires a contract to be registered with the Scribes. The Great House has its own contract of Free Companionship. The father of the woman to be companioned, or mother of record, must consent to the companionship for it be considered legal. The Free Woman is not required to change her name upon Companionship.
1.7 Rights of the Free Companions
Within the Forstander contract there are terms and conditions that outline what is and what is acceptable and what will be expected by each party who signs the contract. Adjustments and clauses can be changed or added to the contract.
1.8 Conjugal Alliance
Upon contract of Companionship the conjugal male becomes a political ally of the Great House of Forstander and all Minor Houses.
1.9 Conjugal Leader
A Free Men who companions a Free Woman of the Great House or any Minor House becomes then a conjugal leader and a member of the family council with a right to vote in all decision making.
2.0 The Bride Price
The Bride Price is paid by the man to the father or mother of the Free Woman he is taking as his companion. Such amounts shall be mutually agreed by both parties. In the event that the female companion refuses to renew the companionship, the bride price will be repaid within two weeks.
Section 1: Subsection 5: Renewal, Termination & Assets
1.1 Renewal of the Free Companionship
The renewal of the contract for the Free Companionship is done within the nearing of the full Gorean date stated in their contract. Failure to renew the companionship results in its dissolution. The wine is to be
drank upon renewing the contract.
1.2 Termination of the Free Companionship & Assets
The companionship terminates if either partner dies or is enslaved, or if the companionship is not renewed upon its anniversary. Companions may also petition the Magistrates of their Home Stone to dissolve their companionship if they can cite evidence of why said companionship should be dissolved however dissolving is only given under exceptional circumstances according to the terms of the contract both Companions have agreed to. In the event that the companionship terminates, both companions are entitled to those assets and monies they brought into the companionship and those which they purchased for themselves. Additional assets and estates purchased during the companionship for which clear title is not discernible by law are the property of the man. Where there is alternative stipulation in the companionship contract as to division of assets this shall be upheld.
Section 2: Children
2.1 Children Status
A child's Caste will be that of the father and the child shall take the father's family name. A child's status as slave or Free is determined by the status of the mother at the time of birth. The children of slaves are themselves slaves and the property of the mother's owner. A child of a Free Woman is a Free child, subject to the law of its father.
2.2 Protection of Children
No child will be abused within the Great House or Minor Houses. No ill will acts will be committed against children. Should anyone undermine the law and take it upon themselves, hard punishment will be sought in your Home Stone. The rights of children are highly recognized and withheld.
2.3 Birth out of the Companionship
Children who are born to a mother outside of the Free companionship which has failed or lapsed will be subject to their fathers and the male relatives. Should they wish the child it will be left in the care of the mother.
Section 3: Trademarks, Crests & Seals
3.1 Trademarks & Crests
All family trademarks, crests, seal stamps, emblems, and signs that remain with our family are recommended registered as such with the Merchant Magistrate or Scribes of your Home Stone and placed on file for legal rights and actions against those who might make use without legal consent.
3.2 Official Seals
All personal or office seal stamps that you use are recommended to be registered as such with the City Magistrates or Scribes of your Home Stone and placed on file for legal rights and actions against those who might make use without legal consent or in case you lose them.
